Cauliflower

Brassica oleracea

Full Sun to Partial Shade

50 Days to Harvest

Plant 18” Apart

An easy to grow cauliflower variety that produces heads that are about 8” wide and weighing between 1 and 2 pounds. Grows best in fertile well drained soil. The white heads may yellow in high summer heat, and can be protected from the sum by gathering the outer leaves around the cauliflower head when it is the size of a baseball or so and tying or rubber banding them loosely together (a process called Blanching). Be aware that this can increase humidity and thus disease pressure around the head, especially during periods of high humidity.
