A garden staple since the early 1700’s Native to the Northeastern US.Vigorous plants that are easy to grow and will tolerate some shading. Also attractive to bees and other pollinators. Widely used medicinally to boost and support the immune system. Has a fibrous root system that is easier to harvest than other varieties, typically in the 3rd or 4th year of growth.
