French Tarragon

Artemisia dracunculus

Perrennial (Zone 5)

Full to Part Sun

18"-36" Tall

Plant 12”-18” Apart

French Tarragon is a staple of french cuisine, with a spicey anise or licorice flavor. Often paired with chicken, fish, veggies, or in herb blends, it has the most potent flavor used fresh but can also be dried. French Tarragon will grow into a bushy shrub and spreads via root runners. It needs well drained soil, and does not do well in direct mid-day summer sun.
