Jacob's Ladder, Blue Pearl

Polemonium caeruleum

Perennial (Zone 3)

Full Shade to Partial Sun

Blooms Late Spring to Early Summer

12” Tall

Plant 12” Apart

A great perennial flower for shady locations.  The plant has lush compound leaves that look like a ladder and bears delicate blue flowers that once the plant is established are one of the first blooms in the spring . Jacob's Ladder is naturally found in the woods and beside streams, and prefer moist, rich, well drained soil. They are also resistant to juglone, so will grow under Black Walnut and Hickory trees.
