Thyme, Golden Lemon

Thymus vulgaris 'citriodorus variegata'

Perennial (Zone 5)

Full to partial sun

6”-12” tall

6”-12” between plants

A variegated lemon thyme with golden yellow leaves with a white margin and a lovely lemony fragrance. It is great for cooking and baking, slightly less pungent than garden thymes, but the citrus flavor will carry through making it ideal for chicken, fish, teas, and sachets. Lemon thyme is less winter hardy than German Winter Thyme. Prefers well drained soils. The plants will produce light pink flowers that attract pollinators in the summer.
